Our weekend

Not much exciting this weekend. I worked all weekend, although I didn't work full days either Saturday or Sunday. But I did get a pedicure on Sunday :) Woohoo! I was excited! hadn't had one since I was 4 months preggie with Logan! It was soooo nice to just sit back and relax :)

James' first softball game was on Saturday AM. He played left field -- irritates me because it's not either of the positions he tried out for and he is to good to be stuck out there where nothing happens! Grrr! Anyway, they won 5-3. And one of those 5 points was his, yay! Trent had a bit of a time with Logan. He had to leave the game and go out to the truck once to try to feed Logan. I hope Logan gets better about this as the weeks go by.

And Logan has gone back to refusing to take a bottle! He has been taking one for months now! He hardly ate all weekend while I was at work! He had 1 ounce on Saturday & 3 ounces on Sunday! I don't know what that's about!

My aunt went to see my Grandma on Sunday and said that she is much much weaker than she was last week. She said my Grandma couldn't even hold onto her hand. The home had told us that my Grandma was eating more but, I guess she is just getting worse and worse. The waiting for *the* phone call is keeping me stressed out all the time. I just keep praying for her, I wish there was something I could do for her.

Well, that's about it. Trent took some pics of the boys over weekend but I haven't uploaded them from the camera yet. As soon as I do I will put some new pictures up :)

everything is the same

Well, basically. My Grandma is eating more now. So the 7 days is not the case any more! We aren't sure what is going on. So, we are just taking it 1 day at a time. But, my heart jumps up in my throat eveytime the phone rings!

I am going back to the dr. today for my headaches. BLEK! I hate going to the dr! It is such a long and involved pain in the you-know-what! But, hopefully they will give me some meds that will help cuz they have been killer lately.

Logan said his first word --"Kitty" Yep, not Mom or Dad or James! He said kitty! Exciting but Mom would've been nice :) He also is sitting up on his knees (like in prayer position), just something new he's doing. I *think* he might be getting another tooth also. He has been a super crabby grouch this week and that usually means that he's getting a tooth -- I recognize the symptoms really good now since I have been thru it 8 times already LOL:)

James' softball games start tomorrow! I have to work so I am going to miss his first game :( I think I will only be able to go to one of his games! I think I work on all the other Saturdays. So poor Trent is gonna have a trying morning I think. I hope the boys behave for him. I got him a bottle warmer that you can plug into the cigarette lighter in the car so he can at least bring a bottle for Logan. I don't think he is looking forward to it :)

Have a good weekend! I will be working all weekend. hopin' for some big tippers LOL :)

The bluest day of the year

Yep, that's what they say. That today is ths bluest, most depressing day of the year. It has even been scientifically proven. I didn't know about this until a little bit ago, but my day today has been AWFUL!! Everything that could go wrong did! I will be glad when this day is over and I can go to bed! Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

So, my Mom & I went to see my Grandma on Saturday. I did take Logan with us but James stayed home. I was not convinced she knew who we were or that we were there. Logan was being very difficult and wouldn't even let me go in the same room as my Grandma without him screaming! Not sure what his problem was exactly but, we stood in the doorway and he was OK with that. I was a little upset that he acted that way! and disappointed that I didn't really get to try to talk to my Grandma at all. But, my aunt went to see my Grandma on Sunday and she asked her if she remembered having company the day before, my Grandma shook her head no (she doesn't talk much anymore). My aunt said "You don't remember JoAnn and Bethany coming?" she shook her head again *but* my aunt said "and the baby?" and my Grandma smiled!! Seriously this made me cry! Made it all worth while for me! Even if she doesn't remember me being there, I don't care! She remembers Logan and he made her happy! even with his screaming! I am so glad I brought him along!
Anyway, we don't really have any news on her. Everything seems to be the same. She isn't eating much and she is sleeping alot. I just keep on praying for her, and I am very grateful that she isn't in any pain.

sad news

I have some sad news. My Grandma is not doing well. They are giving her less then 1 week to live. The dr's said the same thing last June but, this time we think it's really going to happen. She can't get out of bed on her own anymore, she is always in a wheel chair and she's on oxygen 24 hours a day now. Me & my Mom & brother are going to see her tomorrow. My guys are staying home. I asked James if he wanted to go but he really doesn't and he just saw her at Christmas. I don't want his last memory of her to be when she is like this. I might take Logan because my Grandma really enjoyed seeing him, I haven't decided yet. Please send lots of good thoughts and prayers for my Grandma and my family.

Not much happening......

James went back to school today -- again :) He had yesterday off, Wednesday & Thursday are half days and Friday he has no school again!!! They should've just taken an extra week off with the Christmas vacation!!

We got James' report card on Friday. His grades went down a little but I think that ususally happens in the quarter before Christmas because the kids are so distracted with the holidays and all. They are still pretty good --- He has 2 A's, 2 A-'s, 1 B+, 2 B's, 1 B- and 1 C (in History, he really doesn't like History). Still good grades I think :)

I went to the dr. last week for my headaches :( I hate dr.s!!! Anyway, he gave me some sinus meds and some Vikodin. I think he gave me the sinus medication because he wan't really sure what to do with me :) I went and told him "I get 3 kinds of headaches" and told him why I *knew* this, what my symptoms were, how the pain was different between the 3, and on and on. Well, he was stuck on that I have never been "diagnosed" with migraines! So I have to have a follow up with a primary care dr. and they are going to start testing me to see what the headaches are all about. Great! more dr. visits! As if I don't go enough already having a baby and all! So that'll be fun -- not :):)

Logan's tooth came thru and doesn't seem to be giving him any more pain. Thank goodness! He is crawling all over the place now. He's getting pretty fast too.

It had been freezing here at night (literally). SO we have been having to bring Diesel (James' dog) in at night. He has been speding the nights in the kitchen. He doesn't pee when he's in there over night, I am greatful for that! But, he "sings" to us for a lot of the night! You know that pre-howl whining kind of noise that dogs make! He goes on and on with it! It's really funny for about 10 minutes than it gets really irritating! I am not sure why he's sings all night LOL Maybe he is lonely in the kitchen?? But I am looking forward to the nights warming up so that he can stay out in his dog house. I am up enough at night with Logan :) Here's a picture of how big Diesel is now! He got so big so fast! and yes that picture is taken *thru* our back window where he tore the screen open.

My week

Well I haven't been on much this week, it's been kind of hectic here.

James went back to school on Tuesday. I think he was *somewhat* happy to go back. I think he was glad to be back with his friends. And softball started this week, just practice for a few weeks and games start (I think) the end of the month.

On Wednesday Logan had a bit of milestone :) He has been "cruising" (walking with help of the furniture) for a couple of weeks now. and on Wednesday he was standing holding onto the coffee table and turned around and grabbed the couch, he made a complete turn. He was so excited and he started yelling and hitting the couch pillows :) it was cute!

and Logan said "Itty" -I think he was trying to say either "kitty" or "witty" --that's what we call one of our cats-- and we think he said "Hi" last week but, we haven't been able to get him to repeat any of these words so I guess it could just be wishful thinking :)

On Thursday James had his first softball practice. He had a good time and had the stinky little boy smell to prove it :) The only bad thing is that his practice is from 3-5 so I have to come home in the bad traffic. And on Thursday evening on our way home Logan was very upset and screamed at the top of his lungs the ENTIRE way home! It was very nerve wracking! Even James was getting frustrated!

And Logan had his first big *Ouch!* on Thursday. He was playing by my desk and was trying to pull up on one of the rungs and there was paper under his feet and he slipped. And landed face first into the drawer :( He split open his bottom lip and he was bleeding up above one of his top teeth. It was so sad! He was bleeding and crying. Poor baby! I don't think he was as upset as I was and he is totally fine now. and he was only upset about it for a couple of minutes then he was ready to go!

It snowed on Friday!!!!! I know this is not a big deal for those of you that get snow all the time but, here it's a HUGE deal! James ended up staying home from school because traffic was so bad that he would've been really late by the tiem I could get him there. So he played out in it for little while, and it had all melted away before noon. He was hoping to make a snowman but there wasn't enough snow for that :( I took some pictures of James out in it. He was trying to get Diesel to play in the snow with him but Diesel was having no part of it :) I took these pictures thru our back window so you can see the screen :) I didn't wanna go out there! It was freezing!

Logan's 8th tooth is coming in too. It started pushing thru on Thursday and I can feel the corner of it this morning. So by Monday it'll probably be totally thru.

I work tomorrow. It's been a trying week with Logan I think it'll do me good to get out with the real word away from the crying teething baby! even if I am going to work

And that is my very un-exciting week :) I did some scrapping too, I will post that later.

I scrapped!

Yay! I got to scrap a few pages the last couple of days (& finish a few I have had sitting on my desk half-done since November). So these 2 are my favorites of the ones I just did.

Isn't this picture of James awesome?? I love it!! His eyes look so pretty!

Funny story

I was just thinking about this today -- thought I would share :)

When James was like 2 or 3 years old he used to say *truck* with an F sound , so he was saying *fruck* So one time Ryan's (my brother) car was having some issues (I don't remember what exactly) and he was having it towed somewhere to have it worked on. The tow truck was taking the car out of our driveway and James had never seen a tow truck up close and was thrilled , as little boys are with these things. And he was yelling " Mom, Mom! Truck-Ryan's-car! Truck-Ryan's-car!!" That was his way of saying tow truck because it was towing Ryan's car. But, he said *truck* as *fruck* so he was saying "fruck-Ryan's-car* and of course *fruck* sounds like the F@#* bomb :):) So when he was saying *fruck-Ryan's-car* we all just kind of looked at eachother and laughed, we were so frustrated because of whatever was wrong with the car and the situation that I think we couldn't have agreed more :):)

My Christmas creations

I made several of the gifts we gave for Christmas so here's some pics of what I made :)

These are the 2 ornaments I made for my friend Amy. She LOVES Chatterbox paper, that's what's in these (Gingerbread on the top and Igloo below)

And I put together this game for my nieces. You can purchase the kit to make it at www.lateforthesky.com . It's really neat. But I think my brother liked it more than the girls did :) He said that they weren't going to be allowed to play with it :)

This is the box top and the sides of the box. Everywhere it says "Sister-opoly" it said Photo-opoly originally and we used stickers and rub ons to alter it (the sitckers are included & we used rub ons out of my scrapping stash) and we of course added the photos

and this is the game board. We personalized it with all the pics and we named all the "properites"

I made these coasters for our best friends Jen & Laurence

I always give ornaments to my nieces, this year I made them -Savannah's on the top, Cheyenne's is below

I also made ornaments for James to give to his teachers for Christmas

And my favorite thing that I made this year was the purse & scrapbook for my Mom

Those are my boys on the right, me & my brother in the middle & my brothers girls on the left (the pic of me & my bro. is a few years old but, it's the most current I have of the 2 of us together)

and I made this little 4x4 scrapbook that fits in the front pocket behind the pictures. This is the front (me & Trent)

It's an accordian album so it opens like this

Front

Back

and here are some closer pics of the pages

Can you tell I am proud of it? I love it! I think it came out so cute! I got a purse and little scrapbook for me also in dark red but I haven't even started mine yet!

Anyway, I think that is all of my scrappy presents this year :) Now to get started scrapping Christmas, ummm OK I've still got like half of 2006 to finish :)

7!!!!!!

Logan had another tooth come thru on the 1st! He has 7 teeth now! James didn't get his first tooth til he was 9 months old! I am amazed Logan has 7 teeth at 8 months old! And he knows how to use 'em --ouch :(

OH and I keep forgetting to post that James made the softball team at school!! Yay! So, practice will start next week when he goes back to school and games start *I think* the end of January -- that'll be fun for Trent, taking both the boys to games on Saturday mornings, since I will be working heehee :)

Happy New Year!!

Hope yours was happy & safe :) Logan & I brought in the New Year sleeping :) James & Trent stayed up watching movies & playing video games. Trent said James went a little wacky the later it got :)
New Years Resolutions?? I don't think I am gonna make any this year. hmmm, I don't know. I'm starting diet (aren't we all LOL), time to get rid of the rest of the baby fat!! So maybe that'll be my resolution--to get back in shape!! Wish me luck :)
