Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Are you ready for the trick or treating madness?? I will be inside with the lights off with Logan :) We decided that Dad and James are going out trick or treating, Mom and Logan are staying home! I am totally OK with this! Logan isn't old enought to enjoy it, it's more likely to scare him than anything else! Plus it's supposed to be freezing tonight. And if we took him James' trip would probably end up being cut short so, I am (happily) staying home!
James is going as Darth Vadar this year. He's got the full costume with the cape and mask that has a voice changer. I will post some pics tomorrow.
We got James' report card last week -- He is doing so well! We are so proud of him! He has 1 C -in health (they are learning the bones & muscles and I guess he doesn't like it much), 2 B's and the rest A's!!! I think that is great! His last progress report he had 3 C's so he did great getting those up where they belong.
The past couple of weeks have been craziness around here! It seems like everytime I turn around Logan is doing something new or making some new sound! He is up to 19 pounds now!! I think carrying him around all day should count as exercise :)
AND he is getting 2 more teeth! Yep 2!! Actually one has already kind of popped out and the other is close to coming through! We got a picture last night, although he wasn't to happy about it :) You can see how swollen it is around where they are coming in. It's gotta hurt! poor baby! But I've got to have pics of everything! and please excuse the orange around his nose. he had just eaten carrots for dinner.

We also got a Bowflex a couple of weeks ago. I have wanted one for years and I LOVE it! I haven't been able to use it as much as I would like the past couple of weeks due to screaming baby (teething is really hard on him) but I am so happy to have one finally! I figure since I can't get to the gym, bring the gym to me :) So I will let you know how well it works for me!

I have started my Christmas shopping! Yay! I am so glad to be getting a head start on it this year! The bad thing is, the last time I started early I ended up spending twice as much becasue when Christmas got close I was done buying for everyone but, I kept shopping anyway :) That's just part of Christmas right? The last minute shopping! So hopefully this year Logan will keep me so busy that I don't do that! We'll see.
Have a great Halloween!

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend. James had a great time picking his pumpkin -- he hasn't been to an actual pumpkin patch since his first Halloween, so he of course doesn't remember that. We made the mistake of not brining Logans stroller -- boy did my arms hurt after carrying around my 17 pound "pumpkin" :) It was kinda chilly but we had a good time and yum-o kettle corn! Mmmmmm!

James team won at the soccer game on Saturday! Yeah! our first win! 2 to 1! Not a big win but still a win! Here's a couple pics from the game -- one of James playing and one of the prayer circle they do before every game.

Crazy hair day & some other pics :)

Well it's spirit week at James' school this week and today is crazy hair day so here he is :) Yesterday was pajama day (so we bought some new pj's for that) and we've still got western day, sports day & black & gold day to go! He looked so silly!

To look at Logan now you wouldn't believe it took us 2 months to get this baby to take a bottle! We had such a hard time with it I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to go back to work because he wouldn't eat! He would just scream! I am not sure who it was harder on. It was terrible! We tried every kind of bottle there is. I was getting ready to order one on line that looks like a breast, and cost $20 a piece!! Luckily we found this one that he likes. But we tried 7 kinds before we found this one! He takes a bottle like a pro now!

Isn't this the cutest beanie ever? my little pumpkin head :)

My favorite Scrapbooking Layouts

These are 2 of my favorite scrapbooking pages that I have done this year. This one is about James, just talking about my feelings about him growing up.

The journaling reads
My first born! I was so excited when you were born! You were such a good baby. Always smiling and laughing! So happy. Then you started doing all the funny little things babies do, crawling and clapping and trying to talk. I realized that you were growing up so quickly and I prayed for time to stop so I could enjoy your being a baby a little longer! And I thought
Don't go!
Then you were a toddler. Such a fun age! Walking and talking and playing. So curious and loving. Always such a sweet little boy. Already showing me what a wonderful man you were growing into. I enjoyed this time with you so much and it was passing much to fast! And I prayed for time to stop. And I thought
Don't go
Before I knew it you were starting school! How could it have gone so fast! You were such a good student, already excelling in math and spelling, you were so shy. You were always so kind to everyone and very caring, already so aware of others feelings and how your actions effected them. But before I knew it you were moving on, growing up into a young man, no longer my little boy. And I prayed for time to stop. And I thought
Don't go
Now you are almost 11 years old. Where has the time gone? You are starting 6th grade, Jr. high! And a big brother too! I am so proud of the young man you are. Always so generous and considerate. No longer shy, you have so many friends and you are so fun to spend time with. So kind and gentle to your baby brother and such a joy in my life. I know how quickly the time will passes, and so I pray for time to stop. And I think
Don't go

And this layout I did about Logan after he was born.
The journaling on this one is a poem, it reads

As I stood and watched you sleeping, the moonlight kissed your face.
My heart is overwhelmed with your beauty and your grace.
How precious and so delicate is your tiny little hand.
And the sweetness of your lips and eyes is nothing less than grand.
Your spirit and your softness tenderly sets my heart aglow, with a love so deep and infinite that only a mother could know.
So tonight I count my blessings for my darling, baby dear, for surely God did hear my heart and answered every prayer.

Look at my lil' cutie!

Isn't this the cutest baby ever?? I think so :) I took these pictures yesterday -- I love this outfit. I got it at our baby shower from one of my good friends Jennifer. Can you see the little froggie on the front? So cute!

Logan is rolling over both ways, has been since August and he is trying his hardest to crawl! Yesterday he scooted himself from one end of his crib to the other on his stomach! So it won't be long! And Trent does everything he can to help him! Logan already loves watching the kitties, I am sure he will torment them once he can get around :)

This weekend

Over the weekend Cheyenne & Savannah came over and we celebrated Cheyenne's 9th birthday! I can't believe she's already 9!! Anyway, the kids made their own individual pizzas for dinner and we made Cheyenne an ice cream cake and of course she had presents :) I added some of the pics from the weekend into my picture site. The kids had a great time horsing around.
